Respond to support requests4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:Family group members: Location, check-in status, medication compliance, and SOS alerts are shared with members of your authorized family group
Emergency services: In the event of an SOS or fall detection event, your location may be shared with 911 and emergency contacts
Service providers: We use Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), and MongoDB (database) — each bound by their own privacy policies
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users5. Location Data
Kinnship uses GPS location to display family member locations on a map and to include location in emergency alerts. Location data is only shared with members of your authorized family group. You may disable location services at any time in your device settings, though this will limit certain app features.6. Fall Detection
Kinnship uses your device's accelerometer to detect potential falls. When a fall is detected, a 30-second grace period allows you to cancel the alert. If no response is received, 911 is dialed and your family group is notified. Accelerometer data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers.7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings screen. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.8. Children's Privacy
Kinnship is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including JWT authentication, bcrypt password hashing, and encrypted data transmission. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.10. Your Rights
